Didier Farms

For the first time, the Junior High students loaded the bus eagerly waiting to spend their afternoon immersed in Fall festivities. The weather could not have been more perfect for such an event. When we arrived, the farm was filled with people of young and old swarming all over the place. We got our tickets and raced to the first activity we could find, the corn maze. Some zoomed through the maze while others got lost, but all had a great time. The next activity we went to was the tractor pulled hay ride. No matter if a student had experienced a hay ride 100 times or for the first time, all enjoyed the relaxing ride and good conversation. After the hay ride students did a variety of different activities that the farm offered. Some of us made sure to get a cup of hot cider and Kettle corn as we walked and enjoyed hanging out together. All had such a great time and didn’t want to go home so soon. We look forward to another great event of fellowship together.

Cement Square

Life is like a cement square on a side walk. A blank and boring yet extremely complex piece of earth.
The moment you step in, you know you will be leaving at one point or another. The time and accomplishments you achieve depend on the steps you take and the choices you make.
The bigger the steps the farther and faster you will go but also the faster you will leave. The smaller the steps, the longer your time will be.
A big step will take you far but will it take you for the better? Will you be happier, friendlier, or kinder? Or is the answer waiting around? Waiting and waiting for happiness, friendships, and kindness.
Waiting for the happiness of your life, your loved ones, and others. That one time when all those who angered cease to enjoy the gift of life.
Waiting for friendships. Those friendships that make you happy. Happy with someone and something to live for each day.
Finally, you will wait for the kindness. The kindness of yourself and all of those around. The kindness that will come once all fighting and uproar comes to an end.
Which ever path you chose it is guaranteed you will get lost. Lost on the blank path in the square of life.
Some however will not get lost. Some will find the path leading them to all that they need. Thos who find their way have an eternal companion who will sit on their left side both during and after their time in the square. When they are to leave, they will remain happy in the hands of good.
I will say time and time again, follow the good and not the evil, live your life with happiness, friendship, and kindness. But most of all enjoy you time here on this blank square of cement called earth.
